Meta is  thrilled to announce that Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, will be home to our next state-of-the-art data center — the 26th in our United States data center fleet and 30th in the world. This data center campus will span over 700,000 square feet and be optimized for our AI workloads as part of the highly advanced infrastructure that helps connect billions of people around the world.

Once completed, the Beaver Dam Data Center will represent an investment of $1 billion dollars and support approximately 1,000 construction jobs and over 100 operational jobs in Beaver Dam. Job opportunities for the data center will be on the Meta Careers page in a few weeks. For construction information and opportunities, please check out the Mortenson website.

Beaver Dam stood out as an outstanding location for Meta to call home for a number of reasons.
This vibrant city has robust access to reliable infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and great local partners that have been instrumental in propelling this project forward. Meta looks forward  to contributing to Beaver Dam’s economic growth and technological advancement, fostering a future of shared success.

Meta is committed to driving innovation, creating opportunities, and advancing excellence in education for all the communities we support. Meta looks forward to launching our Data Center Community Action Grants program in the fall of 2026 – helping schools and local organizations put technology to use for community benefit, build strong, sustainable communities and improve STEAM education. Meta is also proud to bring programs to Wisconsin that help local small businesses and nonprofits grow their reach, such as our no-cost digital skills training.

Meta custom designs and builds our own industry-leading infrastructure at scale, and we prioritize efficiency, flexibility and sustainability. We’re committed to being a positive contributor in communities like Beaver Dam, and that includes investing in new clean and renewable energy. We have worked closely with Alliant Energy from the beginning to plan for our energy needs in Wisconsin and we will match this data center’s electricity use with 100% clean and renewable energy. Over the next ten years, Meta will also donate $15 million to Alliant Energy’s Hometown Care Energy Fund, dedicated to providing direct energy cost assistance for families in need.

Meta also prioritizes water stewardship, and has the global goal to be water positive in 2030. That means Meta will restore more water than we consume. In Beaver Dam, Meta will restore 100% of the water consumed by the data center to local watersheds.

Additionally, Meta is proud to be partnering with Ducks Unlimited and other partners to restore 570 acres of biodiverse wetland and prairie, 175 acres of which will be deeded to Ducks Unlimited. This project will transform existing wetlands in Beaver Dam into thriving natural habitats that support wildlife and improve water quality – from creating new opportunities for wildlife viewing (especially migrating birds and pollinators), to providing natural flood storage and nutrient filtration, to offering striking greenspace visual buffers

Meta is proud to work alongside Governor Tony Evers, Mayor Bobbi Marck and the City of Beaver Dam, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the Beaver Dam Chamber, Alliant Energy, Ducks Unlimited, general contractor Mortenson, and all of our great partners that have helped get us to today. Meta is thrilled to call Wisconsin and Beaver Dam home, and we look forward to having a strong partnership for years to come.
