2025 Year in review: Meta data center community support
At Meta, our mission is to build the future of human connection and the technology that makes it possible. Meta is proud to have supported thousands of schools, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses around the world, empowering them to build stronger communities. In 2025 alone, we donated over $11.8 million to schools and nonprofits in communities where we have data centers and supported more than 430 local projects through grants and sponsorships.
We are committed to playing a positive role and investing in the long-term vitality of the communities in which we operate. That’s why we’ve established partnerships with local organizations and initiatives that promote education, workforce development, and economic growth. Here are just a few highlights from the year:
- The New Albany Data Center partnered with The Ohio State University to launch the Meta STEM Instruction Innovation Hub, a technology-rich classroom serving over 16,000 STEM students annually. This collaborative space is designed to boost retention and success in technology professions.
- The Singapore Data Center supported the Sustainable Living Lab’s Youth Climate Tech program, engaging over 900 students from Singapore, India, and Indonesia to use Meta AI for climate solutions. Students tackled challenges like air pollution and flooding with advanced AI tools.
- The Cheyenne Data Center helped launch the Laramie County Trades Academy, providing high school students with industry-led training and certifications in skilled trades. This initiative empowers the next generation of Wyoming workers and strengthens local career pathways.
- The Richland Parish Data Center supported the Richland Revitalization Board with funding for public park and community project improvements. This contribution enables new infrastructure initiatives, enhancing local parks and recreation centers.
