Hey Odense!

With the holidays coming up, we wanted to say thank you for helping us become a part of Odense.

Today, we are excited to announce that we will be expanding our Odense Data Center once more. We will be adding two more buildings which will bring the total building area on this campus to nearly 200,000 square meters. Once completed, this data center will represent an investment of more than 13 billion DKK and will support more than 300 jobs. Construction will start in April and we anticipate there will be approximately 1500 workers on site at peak.

Odense has been a great location for our data center since the beginning and we are honored to be part of this city. It provides good local infrastructure, a strong pool of talent, and great community partners. Since breaking ground in 2017, we have provided over 10 million DKK in grants and donations to local organizations including helping the municipality launch the Robot City Strategy, supporting coding skills at local schools and sponsored events focusing on education and sustainability for children and young people in Odense.

Our Odense Data Center is an important part of our global hyper-efficient infrastructure. It is supported by 100% renewable energy, LEED Gold certified and has reached net zero emissions. During the construction of the first phase, we recycled 99.8% of all of our construction waste.

We are proud to have worked alongside the Municipality of Odense and all of our valued community partners and are thankful for helping us make Odense our home. We look forward to continuing this partnership for years to come.
